Ride for Ryder

Untitled1

A personal best for some of us today….

Ten of The LEJOG team cycled 81 hilly miles today. We have been experimenting with and improving our hydration / nutrition / pacing strategies and definitely felt an improvement in our performance today.

A fantastic route organised by the Sue Ryder team, well sign posted, great route, quiet roads, good feed stations, lots of miles and some impressive hills. They even arranged for the sun to shine all day!

A great sense of satisfaction and achievement tonight – as well as lots of aching legs, arms and backs, some sunburn, tired joints and a general feeling of complete exhaustion!

A great team effort and what a great team to cycle with.

When we do LEJOG, we will be covering this kind of distance every day for 14 days…….
