I was introduced to The Cure Parkinson’s Trust following my diagnosis in 2015. Their focus on funding research to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s and their unique Linked Clinical Trials Programme continues to instil me with hope. I knew from the first meeting I went to that I wanted to support their work.
Meeting one of the founders of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, Tom Isaacs made a lasting impression on me. Sadly, Tom passed away in May 2017 at the age of 49, having lived with Parkinson’s Disease since he was 26. His positivity, humour and all that he had achieved made me realise that with the right attitude there is no limit to what we can do. I feel so privileged to have met such an amazing man.
The Cure Parkinson’s Trust continue their work and are more determined than ever to deliver Tom’s Vision to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
